Security Tightened For The 34th Anniversary of Operation Blue Star
The first week of June will mark the 34th anniversary of operation blue star and hence the security has been increased in and around the golden temple.

Paramilitary forces and intelligence personnel have been stationed across Amritsar keeping in mind that the 34th anniversary of ‘Operation Blue Star’ is approaching. On the first week of June in 1984, the Indian army stormed into the Golden Temple to kill Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale who is an extremist Sikh leader. Also, a radical group has threatened a shutdown of the city on June 6th. All security personnel is on high alert in Amritsar.
